If you're just now catching up, scroll down below and read the previous updates. Long story short, Ruby had a bad day yesterday but is much, much better today. Here are the promised pictures:
Grandma visited Ruby this week and helped her parents out a bunch:

Grandma babysits Ruby so that mom and dad can take a break and go get a meal or two. She also got her a few cute outfits that we hope she'll be able to wear very soon.

Since Ruby can't really swallow with all those tubes in the way, drool collects in the back of her mouth and it annoys her! This is how Ruby looks when she needs her mouth or tubes suctioned out... YUCK!

All better:

Today is Ruby's 5 week birthday! Yay! Maybe mom & dad will celebrate. There was a big celebration at CHOP last night -- the anual CHOP Children's Prom Night. Since many teens can't make their own prom because they're hospitalized, they bring the prom to CHOP. There was food and music in abundance and kids of all ages had a great time. Here are links to a news story and videos:

In the 2nd video, Lauren's doctor in the tuxedo is also Ruby's cardiologist. It's really heartwarming how they really go all-out for the kids here, but we hope Ruby will get to go to her own prom instead of one in the hospital.
The other big news of the day is that Ruby is getting a new room back on the surgical wing with the other surgical kids. She'll be much closer to all the other nurses that know her and other kids that have similar needs.
