Ruby had a good day. They weaned her versed and her flow. During rounds we found out that her sedation weaning schedule is 21 days long. That's if everything goes perfectly. We've been told to expect it to take longer. The good thing is that there is a plan. Ruby's flow is currently at 2.5 on the High Flow. She needs to be at a flow of 2 to switch to the low flow. This could happen in the next couple days, if she continues to do well.
We've had nice weekend spending time with her. As she is less and less sedated we are able to interact with her more. The withdrawal does make her cranky, and she's definately starting to get her voice back. Her cry is still pretty horse, but it's getting louder and stronger by the day. Soon she'll be screaming like any other 7 week old.

If I were to imagine a little baby Holly, she would look exactly like Hope! It's all so exciting. I miss you guys and will keep good vibes flowing your way. Another step in the right
Another step in the right direction on this long journey! Phillip our two year old says "Want to see baby" over and over again every time we get on the computer. He will love these pictures! He also prays for you morning, meal and night (although we have a horse named Ruby and he may think he is praying for her - regardless, God knows what we mean). We can't wait to see her in Julie's arms in Tyler when she comes for a visit!

WOW, she looks just
WOW, she looks just wonderful!! What a beauty!!! Have to tell you that this morning in church, as always we have a Ruby update on the giant monitors complete with pictures for all to see and my 19 month old daughter, Eowyn, who is just beginning to talk would say "bebe...." each time Ruby's picture came up. Then and my 3 year old son, Josiah, would retort: "That's baby RUBY." to her trying to teach his sister to say her name...very very cute. Ruby is famous, did ya'll know that??
