Ruby had a good and busy weekend. I'm very tired, so I'll keep this short. My cousin Malissa came to visit again. Last time she was here, Ruby was still on ECMO. Ruby's morphine and Versed have both been weaned down to 0.2mg every 12 hours.

Unfortuatenly, she has her night and day switched around at the moment. So she's awake and night and sleeping or sleepy during the day:

The Buehlers just got back
The Buehlers just got back from a little R&R and I've been missing my Ruby-fix for 5 long, agonizing days. I am just tickled to see that she is breathing on her own. She is such a sweet little thing and she looks so happy, as well as everyone who is with her. I can't tell you how happy my heart is that she is doing so well. Hugs and kisses, Sarah

Yay for Ruby! I'm so happy that she's flying solo and she looks so good. I especially love the cuddly pics of the cuddle bug. It's funny how when you see your child on ECMO all you see is the beautiful baby, not all those tubes and wires and lines. I look back at the pictures now and can't believe we actually went through it all. Carter sends a big High Five to Ruby!
