Dear Chris, Holly, and Ruby,
We are beyond excited that you are out of the NICU and could finally have Ruby feel the warm rays of sunshine on her beautiful face. We wish you all the happiness that the world of parenting offers to you each and every day!!! (and the sleepless nights and tons of Elmo and Big Bird) Hoping that you are back home soon in your own home in Texas enjoying the remainder of your summer. It was an honor to know you all and we will continue to think of you and keep sending prayers and positive karma your way from here in Philadelphia.

I have been following your story for the past couple months and I am so happy that your little girl is out of the hospital! Ruby looks cool in her rock-star sunglasses! Such a beautiful baby, she looks so alert and intelligent. It will be hard not to spoil her (where are you putting that pony?) Congratulations!

I'm thinking the medical records would make great wall paper! she could be like the mathematician, Sofia Kovalevskaya, whose dad wallpapered a room in her house in the lecture notes of Mikhail Ostrogradsky on differential and integral calculus. She would read them and try to put them in order, etc. Thus at age 15 she was studying calculus and went on to study math and wrote 10 papers on the subject. Wow! What a miracle! I've followed Ruby's journey from when she was born and there were a few times I wasn't sure she would make it. It really is a miracle she was able to leave the hospital with you! Hopefully she'll continue to do well. What happens now after you go home? Are there any surgeries that you know of she will eventually have to have or will she probably be fine now? Your hair looks great Holly! Have a great rest of the summer!

I have been following, praying and hoping all along....this is fantastic!!! Through the rough times, there were many days I was afraid to look.....I would pray and pray and pray when I opened Ruby's site...things would be better. Today, my heart is filled with joy!

Words can not describe how happy we are for all of you! Congrats!!!! Hope all of you are settling in to the different atmosphere! I know it might be hard at first because coming home can be bittersweet but Ruby will thrive.. She has proven how amazing she is.. parents are pretty amazing too! Looking forward to seeing the happy family!
