Ruby Hope McKee Starling

We discharged one month ago today!  It's hard to believe we've been out a month.  Ruby has gained almost a pound and a half.  She's gotten stronger and is now able to control her head a lot more.  Her feeding is still the same, but we're working on it.  We are still so happy to have her home with us.

We are experimenting with eliminating the 3 am feed.  We have to keep her total intake for the day the same.  So she needs to be able handle more volume with seven feeds.  We'll see if this is possible or not.

We thought we were home free for a couple weeks as far as doctor appointments go, but we're not.  We got an appointment to see a cranio-facial plastic surgeon on Tuesday.  We are hoping he can start treating Ruby's plagiocephaly,  sooner rather than later.  The flat spot on her head has gotten better, but her pediatrician feels we should start looking at treatment for it.

Not to jinx it or anything, but her incision looks so much better.  Hopefully we won't have to worry about it anymore.

Now for the real reason ya'll check the site....

Ruby was hanging out while I hung cloths on the line.

She lays like this all the time.  It looks so uncomfortable, but I guess she likes it.

If only she take bottle like she takes her hands.
