What a morning

So, far this morning Ruby has pooped all over her changing table and pulled out her tube once.  She also pulled the feed bag connector out of the tube so her 6am feed went all over her bed.  Then she proceded to sleep in it for another hour, neither of us noticed it.  She didn't even wake up until I had her on the changing table.  Silly girl.   Add in spilled bottle warming water that shorted out the toaster.  Which in turn made the coffee pot and microwave sockets not work. Then  two really vocal hungry cats and you've got a less than pleasant morning.  Luckily we prioritized and got the coffee pot working really quickly.

Her heat rash is looking much better.  We've resorted to just keeping her inside in the AC. Hopefully we'll get some cooler temperatures soon.  By cooler I mean highs below 100.  Each day she is less congested. She's also back to her really happy and jabbering self.

We've had a few questions about some of the things Ruby is pictured with.  The sling I've been using came from Ruby Toots.  Ruby also loves her wubbanubs.  Mom and Dad love them too.  It enables her to hold her own pacifier, which at 5am is a wonderful thing.  We've also been using Fuzzibuns cloth diapers, and love them.  We aren't getting paid to endorse these products.  I've just gotten a couple emails asking me about them.

Here's Ruby after second breakfast, enjoying her sun flowers.  Ella is ready to protect Ruby from the mean parents who have put a tube down her nose a couple times a day.

We hope everyone has a nice and relaxing Sunday.  After this morning we think we deserve one, too.

How cute! Ruby looks great!

How cute! Ruby looks great! Also love your idea for a halloween costume! Keep up the great work! You guys are such great parents!

I hope that your evening has

I hope that your evening has gone a little easier than this morning. What a laugh you will have one day with Ruby when she is older. She will love telling everyone about all of her shenanigans some day! Parenting is always filled with unexpected surprises...literally as well as figuratively! Hannah still tells everyone about the time she pooped, peed and threw up on Travis all within the span of a couple of minutes. She obviously doesn't remember it since she was a baby, but you would be hard pressed to know that from the way she tells it! All the best --Lauri

Glad to know you have your

Glad to know you have your priorities in order.... Coffee first
Big mess...blow out fuses.... diaper disasters.. and guard cats all look different after things calm down.
This picture proves it!
It is sorta amazing what does on behind the scenes.

Happy to read that Ruby is

Happy to read that Ruby is feeling better...she does look happy, even after all that has happened today! LOL Hope you are enjoying your coffee and the rest of the day is relaxing. Definitely, keep Ruby isolated this first winter as her lungs continue to get stronger. Ian received the RSV shots for two winters. We kept him pretty isolated the first winter, with only going out to go to doctor appointments or the grandparents. I think I became a germ freak that winter, but well worth it to keep my little guy from landing back in the hospital. Our little one's lungs are so fragile. Hope Ruby has a healthy winter! Prayers she continues to pick up with her eating and you soon can say goodbye to the NG tube!

Hugs, Tracy
