That's what we are doing. All of Ruby's meds are now purple, which Chris and I knew. We are hoping that's what is causing the purple, we just wanted a medical opinion on it. Her doctor said he's never seen purple poop. The white could be something or it could be nothing. If it continues we will test her liver. If we are still getting white poop tomorrow I'm taking her in for a test, her doctor doesn't know this yet, but he will. I'll give it another 24 hours, but that's all I'm willing to do. Her liver isn't swollen. She's growing like a weed. So, her pediatrician isn't too concerned. As like everything else we are keeping an eye on her and watching for any changes. It was hard to convince the doctor that she was cranky when she was all smiles as soon as he walked in the room.
At least he didn't say "Ruby will tell us what she needs" or "If there is a problem it will present itself." I love our doctors at CHOP, but I wouldn't mind it if those two phrases were banned from the English language.
She weighed 11 lbs 7.5 ounces!!! Usually if a baby is having liver problems they don't gain weight.
Basically Chris and I will be over analyzing every poopy diaper until this all blows over or a "problem presents itself."

I understand the concern you
I understand the concern you must feel - even now, at the ripe old age of two, and with NICU out of sight round a good many healthy childhood corners - I'm still more concerned than most when there's an indication that things aren't right. He doesn't have to be actually ill to set me off, just not quite himself.
As you say, Ruby is unlikely to be suffering anything very sinister when she's piling the weight on so well, but fingers are crossed for her and you both over the next week nevertheless. Even a tiny minor illness is a big concern, I know.
our grils were all allergic
our grils were all allergic to milk bases foods, we had one on lactose free , one on prosobee and one on soy, they presented with cottage cheese poo and it turned shades of yellow, to chalky white, once the switch in three days things ewre better just an avenue to consider.

im a lurker, but have followed your story from the start, yeah for ruby flying the coop! all of our babies presented with in 2 months of eating well with cottage cheese poop, just started like someone turn on a switch, and in the end it was allergies to milk, one of our girls went on prosobee, on on a lactose free base milk and one on soy...took about three days before the white turned shades of grey pale yellow light brown then at about thrird day the cottage chees typr poo got firmer, then there was a run of very marble like stool but with in two weeks such a difference, our one baby who is the surving twin of our cdh angel had severe reflux and acid issues her meds at time when we had to use malox ect turned grey...just thought another idea avenue you may want to consider, also while i was carrying my last set of twins i had tpn supplements in the end and my stool got very chalky and yucky, they told me it was the excessive protien they were given me to help the girls grow and my system couldn't digest it all...
